Llama beans collected from the pastures are ground to a 9:1 ratio. Then the ground manure and rice hulls, (65%manure/35%rice hulls) are loaded into static aerated redwood compost bins and the composting process begins. Once the compost heats to a temperature of 135 – 150 degrees, it is sustained at those temperatures for a minimum of 10 days. After a week of cooling down, the composted manure rests for a 3 week curing process, producing a stable and neutral pH amendment for your planting media.
